Beş yıl önce küçük yaşta annesini kaybetti. Ona ve 3 kardeşine annelik yapan halası ve diğer  kardeşleri ile Suriye'nin kuzeyinden  sınırı geçip Türkiye'ye sığındı. Çok zeki ve becerikli. Mardin'deki çocuklara  Arapça ve Kürtçe öğretsin diye çok umutlandık ama Rojin Türkçeyi söktü, bizim çocuklar tek kelime  öğrenemedi. Mutfağı çok seviyor. Annesiz büyüdüğü için evdeki mutfak işleri hep ona kalmış ama ona öğreten hiç olmamış. Mutfak, onun yeteneklerini gösterip özgüvenini kazandığı en özel yer. Aradığımız herşeyin yerini kime soracağımızı bİliyoruz. Mezeleri ve yeni öğrendiği sebze yemeklerini harika yapıyor. Onu mutlu eden tek şey yaptığı yemeklerin beğenilmesi. Bir gün her şey düzeldiğinde sınırın öbür tarafındaki ülkesine dönmek ve hayatında bir kez de olsa İstanbul'u görmek tek hayali! Umarım herşey dilediğin gibi olur Rojin.

She lost her mother at a young age five years ago. She and her three siblings became with her aunt who bring up her like her mother and crossed the border with other brothers and sisters in northern Syria and stayed in Turkey. She is very clever and resourceful. We were very hopeful that the children in Mardin would teach Arabic and Kurdish but Rojin learned  turkhish and our children could not learn a word. She loves the kitchen very much. Because she grew up without a mother, she always had kitchen work at home, but she didn't learn from anybody. The kitchen is the most special place to show her talents and gain self-confidence. We know who to ask where we are looking for everything. She prepare wonderful appetizers and freshly cooked vegetable dishes. The only thing that made her happy is somebody likes the taste of the food which is she made. One day, when everything is right, it is the only dream of returning to the country on the other side of the border and seeing Istanbul once in your life! I hope everything as you wish, Rojin.
