ÇÖP ÜRETİMİMİZİ AZALTMAK VE ÇÖPLERİMİZİ AYRIŞTIRARAK GERİ DÖNÜŞÜMLERİNİ SAĞLAMAK

Metan ve karbondioksit, çevresel sorunlar yaratan gazların en başında gelen sera gazlarıdır. Doğaya ve özellikle sera gazı emisyonuna zarar veriyorlar. Bana göre çöplerin çürümesinden kaynaklanan zararların en başında, bu gazların olumsuz etkileri gelmektedir. Sera Gazı Emisyonu nedir diye soracak olursanız; güneşten gelen ısı ve ışıklar atmosferden filtrelenerek geçiyor, yer küreyi ısıtıyor. Isı ve ışığın fazlası atmosfer tarafından engelleniyor. Atmosferin ısıyı geçirme ve tutma özelliğine sera gazı etkisi deniliyor. Ancak bazı gazlar özellikle karbondioksit, metan gazı ve azot gibi gazların artışı atmosferi olumsuz etkileyerek daha fazla ısının tutulmasına yani, küresel ısınma dediğimiz havanın ısınmasına, iklim değişikliklerine neden oluyorlar. Şimdi gözünüzün önüne gelen, kapının önüne bıraktığınız masum çöp torbasının nasıl bir etkiye neden olduğunu düşününce şaşırıyorsunuz değil mi? Bunun yanı sıra çöplerden kaynaklanan diğer zararlara da bakacak olursak; uygun şekilde depolanmamış çöplerin birikmesi haşerelerin üremesine, çevreye kötü kokuların yayılmasına, görüntü kirliliğine ve çeşitli hayvanlar vasıtasıyla taşıyıcı mikropların yayılmasına neden olmaktadır. Ayrıca bu çöplerden akan sular, yeraltı ve yüzeysel su kirliliğine, evimizden çıkan çöplerin zararlarını öğrendikten sonra ne yapabiliriz konusuna gelebiliriz.

Ülkemizde ve dünyadaki katı atıkların yönetiminin üç temel ilkesi vardır. Bunlar; az atık üretilmesi, atıkların geri kazanılması ve atıkların çevreye zarar vermeden yok edilmesidir.

REDUCING OUR WASTE PRODUCTION and RECYCLING by SEPARATING OUR WASTE

Methane and carbon dioxide are amongst the top greenhouse gases that cause environmental problems. They destroy the nature and they
increase the greenhouse gas emission. In my opinion, the number one damage that
is caused by the decomposition of the garbage is the negative effect that these
gases have. If you are wondering what a greenhouse emission is let me briefly
explain it; the heat and the light that comes from the sun are being filtered
while passing through the atmosphere and heating the earth. The excess light is
being blocked by the atmosphere. The heat conductivity and retention is called
the greenhouse gas effect. However, the increase in some gases,
especially carbon dioxide, methane and nitrogen, has a negative effect on the
atmosphere and cause more heat to be kept in and therefore cause global
warming; resulting in the increase of temperature and climate change. Now, if
you think about the innocent garbage bag that you leave outside your door and
the actual effect it has on nature, you would be surprised.
Furthermore, if we look at the other damages that are caused by waste; the accumulation of garbage that is stored inappropriately causes the insects and pets to reproduce, causes unpleasant smell, leads to visual pollution and results in the spreading of diseases via various germ-carrier animals. Also the water that leaks from the garbage causes underground water and surface water pollution. Now that we have learnt the damages caused by our domestic garbage, we can move on the subject on what we can do about it.
There are three main principles in solid waste management in our country
and in the world. These are, producing less waste, regaining the waste and
destroying the waste without harming the nature.
